Villainess Julia Comes Back for More #WickedAfterDark Confessions

Who's ready to get naked...I mean, Wicked! LOL

Well, at times getting naked can be a bit wicked if you've got the right audience, right? ;) Welcome back to Sassy Vixen Publishing. I'm Lia Michaels and I'm having a blast participating in the Wicked After Dark Halloween Blog Hop with my alter ego Tammy Dennings Maggy. While she's covering the interrogation duties on our sister blog Behind Closed Doors, I get to run Sassy Vixen for a bit. 

My guest today is the self-proclaimed villainess from The Island (Now and Forever 2), the wickedly beautiful erotic artist Julia Santos. She visited for the first time yesterday and she was gracious enough to come back again today. Welcome back, Julia!

Wickedly beautiful? Thank you, Lia. You are quite stunning yourself. In fact you, you remind me of another curvaceous woman in my life.

(Now I'm blushing. Sheesh! What sort of vixen blushes at the slightest compliment?) You wouldn't happen to be talking about the love of your life, now would you? 

Maybe. Just so you know, if she wasn't in my life, I would be all over you in a heartbeat. (Julia licks her lips and squirms in her seat a little bit.) There is nothing like the feel of a woman's curves under your fingertips.

Uh huh. hmmm...I bet that comes in handy when you create your sculptures. The feel of a woman's curves I mean.

Definitely. You can't create something so visual if you haven't experienced the passion you are trying to depict. Take Rodin's The Kiss, for example. When you look at that sculpture, you FEEL a part of it. You can feel his arms around you, his lips on yours, and your breath leaving you as you surrender completely to the moment.

That's exactly what I felt when I saw this sculpture for the first time and some of your own pieces. I heard your model was Jacob Hartley. How did the two of you meet?

I was at a club in Los Angeles about 15 years ago with some friends. I noticed a group of people celebrating someone's graduation. I was immediately drawn to Jacob. He looked comfortable in his own skin. I loved that. Many people act awkwardly when they are in large groups. Not Jacob. His entire demeanor exuded confidence and he was the hottest man in the place. I wanted him, even if it was just for a quickie in the bathroom, I wanted to feel his hands all over my body.

I've met him. I can totally understand your animal attraction. When he walks into the room, all eyes are on him, but he doesn't know it. In fact, if you point it out to him, he laughs it off and asks you how much you've had to drink.

Exactly! Jacob oozes raw sex and I wanted to capture that in my art. A few days after the night at the club, I showed up at his hotel room in nothing but my high heels and very skimpy lingerie. I convinced him he had what I wanted as my model. 

How did you convince him to say yes? I'm sure I can guess. If you showed up on my doorstep dressed in high heels and lingerie, I would do anything you asked.

Have you ever been with two women, Lia? The more I talk to you, the more I would like to introduce you to my girlfriend, Carmen. She's my Mistress as well. I'm thinking she'd love to take you in hand...

Oh my...sorry. I couldn't resist. ;)

Carmen is much more than Christian Grey could ever hope to be. Come with me after the interview. I have to pick her up at the airport. She'll be so surprised. 

I'm not sure. I don't want to intrude. (Now it's my turn to squirm. It's been my fantasy to be taken in hand, so to speak.)

Didn't you say you would do anything I asked if I showed up on your doorstep in high heels and lingerie? What about if I showed up to the interview like this? I this what you had in mind for your fantasy, mi amor? Carmen has a matching outfit all in hot pink leather...

Lia Takes Over the #WickedAfterDark Party Host Duties

It's great to be back at Sassy Vixen. I'm Lia Michaels and the alter ego of Tammy Dennings Maggy. We share this blog, but I've been MIA lately getting The House of Taboo up and running. Now that Tammy's in the final planning stages for her virtual book/blog tour to promote The Island, I thought I could help out a bit and host today's post. 

For those of you who've stumbled upon us by accident, let me fill you in on a few things. We are right in the middle of a fantastic blog hop. Today, I thought I would change gears a bit and interview the villainess of Tammy's soon to be released book. You first learned about her briefly in For the Love of Quinn. Some of you may recall the mention of Julia Santos as the cause for Jacob's near fatal motorcycle accident. What the hell did she do to be blamed for that? We won't get all of the story until the third book in Tammy's Now and Forever series called The Surrender of Julia. Until then, I've invited her to join me today here at Sassy Vixen so she can tell her side of the story.  Welcome, Ms. Santos.

Okay, Julia. :) Why don't we start right off with the question all of us want to know. Were you the cause of Jacob's accident?

(Julia lowers her eyes a moment before answering.) Yes. I'm afraid I was. I mean, he did catch me in our bed with another man.

Whoa! In the bed the two of you shared? That's pretty cold.

Yes, it was. Not that I intended for that to happen, but it did. I knew I wasn't the one for Jake. I realized it after the first few months we were together, but I loved being with him. He brought out all of my artist instincts. I needed him to be my muse. He was that and so much more to me, but I couldn't give him what he really wanted.

And what was that?

A happily ever after. I couldn't give him my heart. It belonged to another.

Apparently to many others according to Tammy's notes. You really get around there, Julia!

True. I was never what one would call a wallflower. I love sex with both men and women. Sometimes with both at the same time. I don't think there's anything wrong with that as long as everyone involved are consenting adults.

You'll get no argument from me on that point, but if you had Jake why did you continue to have sex with other people? Did you ever involve him in these encounters?

(A sly smile spreads slowly across her face as she sighs.) Yes I did. It was his idea actually. We had several nights with my assistant. She was always panting after him so I thought it would be fun to help fulfill a fantasy or two for her.  Jake and I both took turns pleasuring her. She was a complete vanilla if you know what I mean. Not that there's anything wrong with being vanilla, but there are so many different flavors to taste. ;) I have to say we taught her a few things over those days and I wanted to explore more with her. Unfortunately, she couldn't keep her mouth shut about it.

What do you mean?

She blabbed about it to another lover of mine while he took her on top of my desk at the gallery. Apparently she felt she could sample from all of my lovers. Ha! She didn't choose wisely if you ask me. He wasn't one to keep a secret either. He took great pleasure informing me of their tryst. From what he told me, she couldn't walk wall for a week afterwards. In his dreams if you ask me. 

Is this the same lover that holds your heart?

Not a chance in hell, but if you hear him tell it we were engaged and planning our wedding. Ugh! What a nightmare that one was! Let's just say it took me a while to figure out I was trying to turn Jake into this other person. Although he loved me and I cared for him deeply, I couldn't return his love. Mine belonged to this other person from the moment we first met. 

Would you say this person is your happily ever after?

Yes. Yes, she most definitely is my happily ever after.

For those of you looking for The Vixen, she's preparing for her upcoming blog tour to promote her latest release. The Island (Now and Forever 2) is the prequel to For the Love of Quinn. Many folks asked the author, Tammy Dennings Maggy, what happened in the years before Quinn and Jacob found each other in Las Vegas. It's in the second book she told you about me and my partner.

My name is Michael Hartley and I'm a Guardian. What's that you ask? I'm what some of you would call a Guardian Angel. I've been directed by The Goddess Fate to work with my partner Daniel Quartermarsh to watch over our family and their friends. Sometimes it ain't easy.  One of our toughest assignments is detailed in The Island. We had to convince my son, Jacob to keep fighting for his life in the real world so he could meet his soul mate and we had to convince Daniel's sister to not give up on life because of Daniel's death just a month before he became my partner.

I know you are all thinking none of this could really happen, but I'm here to tell you that it does happen and has happened since time began. We all have destinies to fulfill. Sometimes it takes multiple lifetimes to get it right, but eventually we can get there. With Jake and Quinn, they had been torn apart repeatedly in each lifetime, never able to have a life together or a family. Well, The Three thought enough was enough and allowed Daniel and myself to intervene. With Lady Fate determined to give these two lovers their happily ever after, I didn't think we could fail.  

That is until I saw my son on the Island that first day. He was so defeated. I never thought I would see him in this state. He gave up on himself, on his life and of ever finding a love like I have with his mother. Yes, even though I am no longer in the Earthly Realm, the love I have for my Katrina is as strong as the day we first met. I wanted that for my son. 

Then he met Quinn. To say sparks flew was an understatement. The air surrounding them felt electrified when they touched. Daniel and I both felt the jolt between them. Hell, if there was anyone else on that island, they would've felt it too. There was no denying their attraction, but could they believe enough to let their hearts tell them it was real? Could they trust in themselves and in their love enough to be able to let each other go when their time on the Island had to come to an end?

It was the Goddess who made the last plea to each of them when we took them back to Earth and their bodies for a brief period on Christmas Day. To find out what she said, you'll have to wait until The Island comes out on November 15th. Sorry! I know you're dying to find out all the juicy details, but I'll have to leave that to Tammy in the books.

The Island's Michael Hartley joins the #WickedAfterDark Party

Hello my sassy ones! It's The Vixen checking in for a moment before I turn the blog over to another sexy as hell Guardian Angel. You'll see in a moment what I mean, but first it's time for a little housekeeping and announcements. For those of you who have stopped here for the first time, welcome! This is day four of the Wicked After Dark Halloween Blog Hop. Between this blog and my sister blog Behind Closed Doors, we are giving away two FABULOUSLY NAUGHTY prize packages. He's more than just Pop to him though. He's one of his Guardian Angels. You see, a year before Jacob visits the Island for the first time, Michael was taken from his family due to a heart condition that went undetected for years. By the time they discovered it, he was out of time on Earth. How about I let "Sarge" tell his story?

Thank you for inviting me here today, Tammy. Oh sorry, Vixen. ;) I like that nickname. Folks call me Sarge because I was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. (Semper Fi!) I retired at that rank once my kids got a bit much for my wonderful wife Katrina to handle alone. Well, I should say I didn't retire completely. Once a Marine always a Marine as they say!

Now about The Island (Now and Forever 2). Did you know the author first wrote this story as a short for a Christmas blog hop last year? Tammy called it "A Christmas Miracle for Jake." It was the first time you got to hear about Jakey's past and the first time Daniel and I revealed ourselves as Guardians.  When I was given the assignment to watch over my family, I thought it would be a piece of cake. I mean I had already promised my Katrina I would never leave her. This would be my way of keeping that promise. I found out right away she could see me. We couldn't actually touch, except in her dreams. There it was like I never left.  But I'm getting off topic here, and our love story is one to be told at a later date. I peeked at Tammy's notes for this series! LOL!

After about a year of solo action, I got paired up with a new Guardian. Daniel Quartermarsh reminded me so much of my son Jacob and of course we hit it off from the get go. This turned out to be a good thing since our list of charges began to multiply. Seems we were paired up for a reason, Danny and me. Not only did we have to watch over my brood, but also the Quartermarsh extended clan and several others. We weren't too worried about the added work load. Both of us enjoyed our work, but then the shit hit the fan.

Danny's sister Quinn was barely holding on. Losing her little brother only a month before he was paired with me, was taking its toll on her physical and emotional well-being. She had lost her faith and that nearly broke Danny to watch. He held on because we had someone else who needed our attention immediately...

My eldest son and middle child. My Jakey. He was spinning out of control so fast and there was nothing I could do to stop it. In fact, I was ordered to stay away when he had the collision with the semi. Thankfully, Danny was allowed to protect my son from the worst of it. Having several other Guardians around to lend their power and energy helped to keep Jake alive. For that, I'll always be grateful.

What caused Jake to take off on his motorcycle in the rain? What else? A broken heart. He found out the woman he thought he was going to spend the rest of his life with was in fact cheating on him. He caught them in the act if you know what I mean. That would send just about anyone into a blind rage, but not my son. He turned that hurt inside and took it out on the one person he hated the most...himself.

Danny and I got Jacob to the Island and gave him a choice. He could stay there and wait for his next lifetime to begin, or he could choose to go back to be with his soul mate, the one who would be his happily ever after. In fact, The Three were giving him a special gift. He would meet the one who would complete him heart and soul, fall in love and seal their bond for all eternity. The only condition was they had to both choose to leave the Island and go back to the Earth Realm in order to find each other again.

Well, what do you think he chose to do? ;)

Tomorrow, I'll fill you in on a bit more of our story in The Island and in the rest of the Now and Forever series. Tammy has a lot of work ahead of her to get the entire story down for everyone to enjoy. Don't worry. With Danny and me bugging her, she'll get them all done in no time!

#WickedAfterDark with a Guardian Angel and the Goddess Fate

Welcome back to the third day of the Wicked After Dark Halloween Blog Hop.  I've been asked to take over the blogging duties today for Tammy and Lia. Both are getting ready for Tammy's virtual promotional tour for her new release The Island (Now and Forever 2). Who am I? I'm one of the characters in this series, Daniel Quartermarsh. I'm not just an average character either. I'm a Guardian Angel given the task to watch over my family, friends and a few other charges.

I don't have to do it alone. Thankfully, the Goddess Fate has paired me up with another Guardian also intimately involved with our charges. Michael Hartley is the father of my sister Quinn's heart and soul, Jacob. It's their story that's told in The Island. On November 15th you'll be able to read it for yourselves, but until then, I thought I would give you a bit more background information, fill in more of our back story and give a little more face time to a few characters that seem to take a back seat, but really control just about everything. Today, I'm happy to welcome to Sassy Vixen the Goddess herself, Lady Fate.

Thank you for inviting me here today, Daniel. I just visited with your cousin, Brigid on Tammy's sister blog Behind Closed Doors. She had her hands full with myself and my brother, Lucius!

LOL! I'm sure Brigid can handle him. She's one tough cookie.

Yes, she does appear to be able to put him in his place. Maybe I should have her at our next meeting with Yeshua? That as she's said many times today, is for another story. You wish to ask me about Quinn and Jacob, no?

Sort of. Since humans have free will, how could you have been sure Quinn and Jake would decide to give up everything on the Island for a chance at love in the real world? Aren't you still afraid they will choose the wrong path again?

That's why I put you and Michael in charge of these two. I need you to present the choices they have in front of them, with the consequences of each, so they can decide for themselves. Some may call it influencing them to make a specific choice and that may very well be. But the bottom line here is both of them have to choose the path that leads them to each other, no matter what the cost, in order that their fated destiny can be fulfilled in this lifetime. 

If they choose to stay on the Island and just enjoy whatever time they have together and never go back to Earth?

Then they have to fight to find each other again in the next lifetime and the next until they get it right. This time though, there is a lot more at stake. Each must cross paths with specific people in order for many more destinies to be fulfilled this life cycle. Without Quinn and Jacob in their lives, these other people will also have altered futures. It's a bit complicated at times, but this is how it's always been from the moment time began.

I have to tell you, there were times I didn't think I could watch over some of our charges properly. I didn't know if it would be too hard for me to be with my family since they are still mourning my death. On the other hand, it does give me the chance to still be in their lives, even if they can't always see or hear me. I'm very happy you paired me with Michael. He'd passed on the year before, but had a bit more experience with watching over his family.

The two of you do make a wonderful team. You did a fantastic job protecting Jacob after his accident. It nearly broke my heart not to let Michael be there as well, but that was just something he didn't need to see. It's hard enough to have to see your child broken and hooked up to machines. It meant a lot to him that you were there.

There will be a time I'll need to lean on him when it comes to my family. Knowing that my dad will have to go through all that chemo and still lose that fight has been a bitter pill to swallow. 
(Fate takes both of Daniel's hands into her own.)

It will not be an easy task to watch that, but your father also has another destiny to fulfill, just as you did. With the help of Michael and both of your families, all of you will get through the dark spots ahead. Trust me. There will be many more bright spots for both the Quartermarsh and Hartley clans!

And that will have to be a story for another time and another book in Tammy's Now and Forever series. #WickedAfterDark with the Guardian Daniel from The Island

Welcome back to the second day of the Wicked After Dark Halloween Blog Hop. As promised I'm going to turn over the reigns of the blog to one of my favorite characters. Even though he didn't have a large part of the story in For the Love of Quinn, I had to bring him back in The Island. Daniel Quartermarsh is Quinn's "little" brother. It's his death that sends her in the downward spiral leading her to want to give up on ever being happy again. Just a short month later, he's by her side once again, helping her to find herself and the love she's searched for through each and every lifetime.

I guess I'm not what most people would expect to see when asked to picture an angel let alone a Guardian Angel. I didn't believe it at first myself. One moment I was riding my motorcycle home after a gig at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor and the next I was watching my own funeral next to the Goddess Fate.  Talk about a wake up call.

Fate asked me right then and there if I wanted to watch over my family and friends. You know, to be sure they all followed their destined paths in life. My very first charge would be my sister, Quinn. Right from the get go I knew I was going to be fighting an uphill battle with her. Not only was she the most stubborn person I knew(and still is!), she was pulling  herself away from the things she'd always held close to her heart.  She had devoted so many years of her life to become the best orthopedic veterinary surgeon in the country, and yet a month after my death she was just going through the motions. She had lost her faith in everyone and everything. More importantly, she'd lost her faith in herself and it damn near killed me all over again.

Growing up, Quinn and I along with our cousin Brigid were drawn to the Wiccan faith and everything magical. For all three of us, the dragon and dragonfly were our spirit guides. As we grew up, Brigid answered the call to become a Wiccan Priestess and I continued my studies in the Celtic and Native American traditions. Both of us excelled at dream walking and wished to have Quinn join us exploring that talent. 

Unfortunately, before we could get her to actually start practicing the meditation needed to dream walk, I left this world by way of a head on collision with a drunk driver. Major bummer. 

I was given special permission to start "nudging" Quinn in the right direction. Flooding her mind with memories of our last trip together to explore a store near Frankenmuth that specialized in all things Pagan. This was where she found the book on dream walking Brigid had recommended. It was this book I kept pulling off the shelf and leaving on her nightstand. It took her a bit, but she finally picked it up and leafed through it a little.  For all her years of studying, you would think Quinn would grab the book and devour it in one sitting, but NOOOO, not my sister. I had to step in and haul her ass to the Island myself.

Of course once I got her there, I had more than I could handle to convince her she couldn't just forget life in the Earth Realm and stay there on the Island. It broke my heart to hear her say she wasn't the same without me in her world. How could I convince her that I would ALWAYS be with her in her world? Thanks to The Three, I didn't have to figure that out on my own. They paired me up with Michael Hartley...Sarge...and I couldn't have asked for a better partner.

But Sarge had a big "project" of his own. His eldest son, Jacob was on Death's door in a hospital in Los Angeles.  After catching the woman he thought was the love of his life in bed with another man, Jake had tore down the rain slick I-5 heading toward San Diego. A piece of wood and the back of a semi derailed his travel plans. Now instead of spending Christmas with his family, Jake woke up on the Island and was given a choice. Stay or go back and be with his soul mate.

Have you guessed who that soul mate just happens to be? If given the opportunity to spend time with your one true love even before you actually meet in the real world, would you do it? Could you then leave that person who completes you heart and soul knowing one day you will find each other again, or would you just stay with the short lived sure thing of the moment?  Those are the questions both Quinn and Jacob had to answer before even their indecision would cause them to live out another life path away from each other yet again.
